Troop 505 and Troop 506 are helping to coorindate the Twin Bayou District 2025 Spring Camporee.

Troop 505 and Troop 506 leaders are encouraged to sign up to help us with this event. Please pay for Camporee on the troop store (under Camping Fees) to sign yourself and your Scout up for camporee.

If you are a parent of one of our Scouts, and not yet a registered leader, please sign up with Troop 505 by following these steps:

Step 1: Complete BSA Youth Protection

Step 2: Register as an Adult with Troop 505

Step 3: Complete CMG Safe Haven (‘Catholic Church YPT’) trained (https://galvestonhouston.cmgconnect.org/).

All Troop 505 Scouts are encouraged to sign up for this event, and volunteer to help at the event.

For adult leadership, we need as many Troop 505 adults who can volunteer this weekend to support to help us make the event a success. But you need to be a registered leader to camp with us. It is currently taking 3 weeks to get required background checks done, so please sign up and register as soon as possible.

Everyone can help, and we have the following specific support needs:

• NRA Certified range safety instructors (adult)

• NRA Certified rifle instructors (adult)

• NRA Certified archery instructors (adult)

• Certified climbing instructors (adult)

• Red Cross Certified Lifeguards (16+)

• Safe Swim Defense & Safety Afloat Aquatics Look Out (Online training available on my.scouting.org) (adult)

• Red Cross / American Heart Association Certified CPR / First Aid / AED, RN, PA, or MD (to help take a rotation in the med lodge) (adult)
