Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness - July 2004

Eleven Scouts and seven adults travelled to Minnesota's Boundary Waters Canoe Area Wilderness July 19-25, 2004. Because of crew size restrictions, they split up into two crews of nine persons each. Here are some photos of one crew's trip.

Service Project - Sheldon Lake State Park

This service project was done in 3 stages: selecting the plants to be transplanted (first 7 photos), planting (next 12 photos), and returning 5 months later to check progress (next 4 photos).

Nineteen months later... mission accomplished (final 3 photos)! The first of these photos shows the general area looking from north to south. The second photos is a closeup of the area showing typical usage by black-bellied whistling ducks and white ibis. Can you spot the lone wood duck? The third photo shows the general area looking from west to east.
