Religious Emblems
A Scout is reverent. He is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion. To encourage members to grow stronger in their faith, religious groups have developed the following religious emblems programs. The Boy Scouts of America has approved of these programs and allows the emblems to be worn on the official uniform. The various religious groups administer the programs. Check with your local council service center or contact the religious organization directly to obtain the curriculum booklets.
Troop 505 is chartered to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.
*Please contact troop leaders if there is a need to verify award-recipient claims of current or former Troop 505 Scouts.*

Pope Pius XII
Pope Pius XII is Catholic Scouting's church-related ministries and vocation program.
The program deals with different life choices (single, married, religious, ordained), occupations and ministries in the church as calls from God..
It includes youth led discussions on current issues facing the church and society, which are normally included as part of a Pius XII retreat or day of recollection.
